If you ever meet Mathilda aka “Tilly”, you will instantly know that her motto is: “choose happy”! Mathilda was born with a rare chromosome deletion, 1p31.3-p22.2. Mathilda was diagnosed at about one-month-old. According to her genetic team, Mathilda might be the only known case with her EXACT deletion breaking points. However, there are a handful of individuals with a very close chromosome deletion breaking point that have been documented. Mathilda’s a true blessing and she brings us so much joy. She continues to thrive and conquer goals “the professionals” aka doctors told us she may never do. Mathilda is so unique and rare; we love her unconditionally!
