We found out Della had Pallister-Killian Syndrome at 35 weeks gestation. We were so nervous because we didn’t know what to expect. Della was born 2 1/2 weeks later, and we couldn’t love her more. She is an inspiration to us. We almost lost her at birth due to respiratory failure, and then she spent a week on a ventilator. She has come so far, working her way down to 1/2 L of regular oxygen. We are currently still in the NICU at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital after a couple of setbacks due to contracting two different respiratory viruses, but we hope to take our girl home soon and just enjoy being a family together with her older brother Griffin.
