Lucy’s Jammies

Lucy was born almost 3 weeks early but was perfectly healthy. She lived a normal first year of life until her 1 year old well check up. At that appointment her doctor said she thought Lucy had Down Syndrome. After that we got her tested at the geneticist and a few months later we found out she had Pallister-Killian-Syndrome. PKS affects Lucy’s cognitive abilities, she has moderate hearing loss in one ear, and gait abnormalities. After she turned 3 she was diagnosed with Autism as well. Lucy loves to sing, dance, and play in the sand or water. Lucy goes to a special Kindergarten class and runs down our driveway to get picked up by the bus every day. We love our special Lucy girl!
