Our little Lu or LuBird or Lucia or Bird (so many nicknames) is our first child and our special needs child. She is our medically complex, legally blind, wheelchair user, affected by seizures, scoliosis requiring surgery, and on and on special girl AND she is the light of our lives-teaching us what is important every day! We are blessed with our Lu and through all her struggles we are grateful for organizations like this that give our child a special time to look forward to.
