We had Liam 3 weeks early and he was diagnosed at 3 weeks old with genetic retinoblastoma that his father also had as a child. He had his first surgery on his due date. Liam has had 4 rounds of systemic chemo, laser and cryo therapy and he just finished 3 rounds of intra-arterial chemotherapy. He has monthly eye exams under anesthesia and we will continue to check his eyes regularly for tumors until he is 7 years old.
