Kallen is our sweet first born that changed our lives forever. He is the strongest and most brave little guy with a heart full of joy. Kallen came home from a 188 day NICU stay with a trach, vent and gtube. He has had many surgeries including but not limit to open heart surgery, emergency bowel surgery that led to a temporary ostomy, tethered cord release and on December 1st he will have a double hip surgery. We have since graduated from the trach and vent but still use his gtube multiple times a day. Kallen has epilepsy and severe global delays. His main mobility is a wheelchair. Kallen has a few obsessions that if they are not fulfilled can lead to some aggressive tendencies and self harm. This holiday season will look so different from the last few as we will be confined to our home over thanksgiving, Christmas and the new year while Kallen is half body casted for his double hip surgery. We are trying to add as much holiday cheer as possible!
