Devon has been a fighter his entire life. He’s had to work extremely hard to sit up, crawl, and pull himself to stand, walk and run. The low muscle tone due to his PKS was a major barrier, but this warrior worked hard for many years to overcome many challenges. He still fatigues faster than most kids his age, but he loves to be outside, especially when he can be with family. Devon is a joy to be around and has developed some real affectionate personality traits after years of being more solitary. Last year, he was also diagnosed as a Type 1 diabetic, which added more complex layers to his health plan, including treating his epilepsy which he has had since he was four.
