Avery was diagnosed with PKS when she was just shy of 1 month old. She also had an umbilical cord true knot, which resulted in a hypoxic episode in utero.
Avery is sweet, cuddly & down to earth. She is obsessed with Whitney Houston, and her songs are her primary “motivator” in therapy 🙂
Dozens of specialists, therapies, treatments, spontaneous trips to the hospital (and everything in between), she has endured more in 3.5 years than most do in a lifetime. But she is a fighter and never ceases to amaze us with her resilience and contagious smiles!
